Built Environment is subject to an absolute physical flux in the context of a room, a house, neighbourhood unit, neighbourhood, and the city. Therefore it requires internalization of different scales, disciplines and views, as well as a capacity that can direct this flux in the right way. 1/X design produces things based on time, space and expectations. It benefits from different types of scales. It is a group where a set of different areas of design intersects with each other.

Urban Design, Architecture and Landscape Architecture have their own discourses and claim to leave traces behind. For this reason, the formation of design has been organized as a pillar, that is covering/including these three different disciplines.

1/X design lives in the nib of a pen, it takes into account of each line it draws, paces with the time, catches the agenda, but does not sacrifice the absolute truth of design to the current trends. It isn’t modest neither, but it knows that there is a long way to go...

Founding Partner / Urban Designer

He was born in 1978, in Erzurum. He finished his primary and secondary school education in Sakarya. He graduated from Yıldız Teknik University, Department Of City and Regional Planning, in 2001 and completed his Urban Design Master Program in Mimar Sinan Güzel Sanatlar University  in 2004. His master thesis is about “Urban Regeneration”: “Urban regeneration-the governance and practice tools in the process of reproduction of urban spaces”.

İn the early stages of his professional career by 2001, he had the opportunity to work in Atelye 70 with Prof. Hüseyin Kaptan. He was the team leadership in urban design projects at different scales in İMP (İstanbul Metropolitan Planning and Urban Design Center). He established 1/X Design in 2012.

Consultant /Dr. Urban Planner - Urban Designer

She was born in 1979, in Samsun. She graduated from Yıldız Teknik University, Department Of City and Regional Planning, in 2002 and finished Mimar Sinan Güzel Sanatlar University, Urban Design Master Program in 2006. Her master thesis is about “Public Space”: “Urban and square phenomenon -A comparative study of revitalization process (Trafalgar Square and Eminönü Square)”. She completed her PhD on “Urban Projects İn The Context Of Organising Capacity İstanbul Kartal Project” in Mimar Sinan Güzel Sanatlar University, Department Of City Planning, in 2012. 
She continues her academic life as an assistant professor in Maltepe University - English Architecture Department since 2013...

Architect

She was born in İstanbul, in 1995. She completed her undergraduate education in Maltepe University, Department of Architecture in 2018. She took part as a participant and coordinator in workshops on various topics. She participated in various national competitions in the scale of Architecture and Urban Design with different teams during her education and professional life.
